Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Math teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mathematical concepts, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to student success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters critical thinking and inquiry.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Contribute to the overall school culture by participating in extracurricular activities and school events.
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field
- Florida Teaching Certification in Mathematics
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in a middle or high school setting
- Familiarity with technology tools and resources for teaching and learning
- Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom practices
